Why Non-Believers are Increasingly Turning to Prayer and Divine Guidance. Did you know that a surprising number of  non believers nowadays turn to prayer  and seek  spiritual guidance  in times of crisis or as a part of their daily routines? According to a recent poll, as many as one in five non-religious people pray to God and this trend is on the rise, revealing a significant shift in beliefs and practices among those who do not traditionally subscribe to religious faith.  Of the 2,069 adults surveyed by ComRes for Christian aid charity Tearfund, Family was the subject of most people’s prayers with 71 per cent of respondents saying they have thought about loved ones, followed by 42 per cent of people who say they pray to thank God.
